CASA is a national program with state and local member chapters. In Porter County, IN, CASA is one of the programs of Family & Youth Services Bureau.

Children deserve safe and nurturing homes where they can thrive.

Our mission is to provide child-centered advocacy that leads to a safe, stable home and promising future for every child who is a victim of abuse or neglect.

What is a CASA worker or volunteer? Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are volunteers who work in conjunction with child protective services and the juvenile justice system to meet the needs of abused and neglected children for safety and for suitable, permanent homes.

CASA volunteers give voice to the needs of children in juvenile court proceedings and ensure that their best interests remain a priority in an overburdened child welfare system.
